Photographing Natures Art

Since I started painting I have realized that I look at things differently. I see hues and tints and values of light and dark, shadows and highlights, not just a scene. As I walked through the gallery the other day I was mesmerized by brushstrokes and the textures of the boards, or seashells or whatever they were using for their "canvas". Painting has opened up a whole new world of visual appreciation for me and one place I see it most is in nature.

I took these photos Saturday May 5th in Oswald West State Park, Oregon.

Before, the world was beautiful and it was just there. Now it is a painting in the waiting, a photograph that draws my eye. It is God's work of art and He is sharing it with me. How I want to share it with you too!
